Meet Emma McGrath

Emma has worked for Birmingham Irish Association for 2 years. Emma’s role involves working in our Kings Heath dementia centres and help to provide our day centres. We plan and carry out a range of activities, including crafts, games, and quizzes, to engage our lovely clients and provide a sense of community within the centre.

“I am looking forward to continuing to provide this service and help to support those living with Dementia, their families and the Irish community.” - Emma McGrath

Dementia Centre activities

The Dementia centre’s in Kings Heath run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays every week and are for people who are living with Dementia.

The centres are designed to engage the clients and to give their families a small break from their caring responsibilities.

Dementia Centre activities

“This is a very welcoming and supportive group not just for the dementia sufferer but also for the extended family. The atmosphere is very calm, and everyone is so welcoming. All the staff are absolutely amazing and make my dad feel safe and loved. Dad really looks forward to going to see his friends.”
