Birmingham Irish Association: Irish Passport Service

Birmingham Irish • March 22, 2026

Meet Catherine Kelly

Catherine has worked for Birmingham Irish Association for almost 7 years. Both parents were born in Ireland, so this position is very close her heart. Catherine’s role is to help people with their Passport & Irish Citizenship Applications. "I check all the documents, complete the online applications, and give advice."

They are not all straight forward so there will be times where she helps with the certificates and applications for Late Registration of Birth/Name Amendments (For Irish Born Citizens).

To qualify you must either have been born in Ireland or have an Irish born parent or grandparent. It doesn’t go any further back than this.

Catherine can help with ...

• Irish Passport applications

• Irish Citizenship applications

“I love helping people apply for their Irish Passports or Irish Citizenship. The number of applications keep rising year by year.”

Due to high demand this service is by appointment only.
