Birmingham Irish Association Health Day Event -April 2025

Larry Fedja • May 21, 2025

The Birmingham Irish Health Day Event took place on Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

The members of the Tuesday club were brilliant, interacting with the agencies and seeing what support was available to them.

BIA Health Day April 2025

We had several agencies including those shown below:

A respiratory nurse - Della spoke to members about their respiratory health and any issues they may have.

Admiral Nurses - Gave advice on how to support families who have a loved one living with Dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society - Provided advice on living with dementia and the support that is available.

The British Heart Foundation unfortunately couldn’t attend but they did provide us with information that we shared with our attendees.

We would like to thank the organisations above for attending our health event and offering the great advice and support to our members. We would also like to thank the Tuesday club members for being so welcoming to all the organisations that attended.

We would also like to thank our Health Enablement team, Emma McGrath and Bernie Walsh, for organising and hosting such a successful event within the Tuesday Club.
