Welcome Emma to the Birmingham Irish Association team

Birmingham Irish • June 18, 2024

We have a new addition to our team of staff and volunteers at Birmingham Irish Association - without these amazing people it would be impossible for us to provide our daily services.

Staff - Liam Blackwood

Emma McGrath

(Health Enablement Worker)

Fun fact – I have four dogs 😊

"My name is Emma McGrath and I am one of the health enablement outreach workers. I am second generation Irish as my mom is from Dublin and I am very active within the Irish community in Birmingham. I had already been involved with some of the dementia centres for a number of years and when I saw that there were jobs available within the organisation I decided to apply.

"I applied because I wanted to help support the Irish community and help give back. I am enjoying my time at BIA so far, and the team and volunteers have been amazing and so welcoming! I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new role working out in the wider community and I am currently starting to plan a health day for the Tuesday club."
