The Birmingham Irish Christmas Toy Appeal (update)

Birmingham Irish • November 11, 2020

As many of you will know from prior updates that over the last few months, we have been working hard to collect as many new toys as possible for our Christmas Toy Appeal campaign, so that every family in our city who have been affected financially by the pandemic can give their children a new toy to open on Christmas Day.

Through this campaign, our initial aim was to care for families most in need of our help this Christmas and to make the big day that little bit brighter for their little ones. Since then, the project has grown larger than we ever thought possible.
From community members to fellow organisations, funders to large companies such as Tesco, the response to our appeal has been utterly overwhelming and we would like to extend a colossal thank you to each and every person.
Through us, you have reached out to make Christmas that little more special for someone else and we have never felt more lucky and proud to be a part of the incredible and selfless community that is Birmingham.

At this moment, our staff are preparing the gifts in our storage facility to deliver to families for the first week of December, but keep a look out in next months' newsletter as we will be releasing just how many families we have been able to help, together, through the Christmas Toy Appeal
