Birmingham Irish • November 26, 2023

Over the next few months, we will be giving you all an insight into our wonderful team of volunteers here at Birmingham Irish Association - without these amazing individuals it would be impossible for staff to provide our daily services.

Read Julie's Story Below…

MEET OUR VOLUNTEER: Julie Callaghan

"My friend worked for BIA and suggested I join the team of office volunteers. I help with answering the phones, taking messages, sending emails and assisting with Irish Passport Applications.

"I have been here 5 years this August. I like helping out and supporting the Irish community in this small way. Volunteering and meeting people of all walks of life, at times, can be a sobering experience!"

'Julie knows exactly what she’s doing with everything within the office and can happily go along without any questions or help! A warm, happy edition to our day' - Catherine Kelly (Front Office Manager)
