Meet our team! BIA Traveller Research Worker & Volunteer Co-ordinator, Róisín Mason

Birmingham Irish • November 4, 2021

At Birmingham Irish Association, we truly believe that all those within our diaspora should have the opportunity to have their voice heard, play a role in their community and have the freedom to express themselves as individuals.

In our organisation, there is one wonderful person who enables this in the entirety of the work they do, our Traveller Research Worker and Volunteer Co-ordinator, Roisin Mason.

Through her role, Roisin recruits, encourages and empowers our Association volunteering team to share their time and skills with our service users. In collaborating with other agencies, she helps to raises awareness of the rights of Travellers and Gypsies living in our city and encourages all to learn more about the history and experiences of these fascinating people.

Collectively as an organisation, we would like to thank Roisin for all the incredible work she does and continues to do each day for our diverse Birmingham diaspora. It is through this specific kind of work that all of our fascinating, vibrant and unique individuals residing in the city are given not only a voice but the ability to confidently take opportunities and share their story. For this, we are all so incredibly grateful.

The next edition of our newsletter will feature another fantastic staff member from our organisation, so make sure to stay tuned!
