The Birmingham Irish Association's Toy Appeal (update)

Birmingham Irish • October 24, 2020

As many of you will know, we have been extending our services to give specialised care for our community throughout the pandemic. We know that these difficult times are more a marathon than a sprint, and we want to be there for all of you, in every step of the way.

Due to the current uncertainties, many families in our city are experiencing financial worries, and especially about Christmas time. This is why we set up a new appeal in September to collect new toys for children who may not have presents under the tree this year to open. Since the launch, there has been an extraordinary response and we would like to extend a massive thanks to every single person who has donated so far, you are all absolute stars.
At this point, we also need help to find those who would like to receive these presents for their children at Christmas. If you know a family who would benefit from our appeal, we would love you to get in touch with us by calling Trudy on 07970 671 462 or by dropping her an email through trudy@birish.org.uk. Please include how many children there are in the family, their ages, whether they are boys or girls and any particular gifts they might like.
We are also collecting donations and new toys until the end of November, to ensure delivery on the first week of December and peace of mind for parents. If you would like to give a new toy, that would be wonderful. Please get in touch with Trudy through the above contact details, or pop into us at St Anne's Parish Church on Alcester Street (from Mon-Fri, 10am – 3pm). If you would prefer to make a monetary donation to our Christmas toy fund, please click the link below to our Virgin Money Giving page.

Any donation given is so very greatly appreciated as it will help to make Christmas that bit more brighter for our little ones this year. If you are able to share this post let friends and family know about our appeal, we would be really grateful as we can gather and deliver as many toys as possible. Thank you so much.
